Fitbit fans and users have asked for easy access to battery indicators and other alerts for a while now, and they’re finally here. This week, Fitbit OS 5.3 arrived as a small but helpful update for the Fitbit Sense and the Versa 3, delivering several easy-to-access status indicators.
The company has been busy delivering new features, like the big Google Assistant responses release back in June, and now it’s moving on to smaller yet beneficial usability options.
With the arrival of Fitbit OS 5.3, users will have an easier time accessing important information. For example, rather than scroll through watch face tabs to see battery status, do-not-disturb, or phone connectivity, now they’ll all be visible at a glance at the top of the tiny display when users turn on the screen.
When a user quickly turns on the screen, they’ll see the notification and DnD status, battery levels, and even an icon that shows whether or not a phone is connected to the watch. These disappear after three seconds, but to see them again, swipe right to see them at the top of the quick settings screen.
Some users may already have the update right now, while others will get it soon. You can also open the Fitbit app, select your profile from the today tab, choose your device from the list, and check for the pink update button. Otherwise, it should start rolling out to more devices (if fully charged) overnight.
