This week T-Mobile announced that it will soon offer new and existing customers a free year of Paramount Plus Essentials, bundling yet another streaming service into plans. More importantly, the freebie is available to almost anyone, rather than only for more expensive unlimited phone plans.
The free year of Paramount Plus streaming is even available to customers with older T-Mobile or Sprint plans, not to mention those using T-Mobile strictly for its $50 a month home internet service. For example, the free year of Apple TV Plus was only available to high-tier plans like Magenta MAX. That’s not the case here, and almost anyone can enjoy live sports, exclusive original shows, movies, and more just for being a T-Mobile user.
Paramount Plus typically runs $5 per month (or $50 per year) with ads, but now it’s free, and you’ll get access to NFL on CBS, Champions League, Star Trek: Prodigy, Picard, and more.
It looks like the deal is available to any new or existing T-Mobile postpaid account, even postpaid internet plans, so basically any account where you pay your bill at the end of the month. Many people have family plans, but the free year of Paramount Plus Essentials is for each account, not each line. This means you’ll have to share with family plans.
T-Mobile says the free year of Paramount+ streaming will be available starting on November 9th, so take advantage of this as soon as you can. As a reminder, don’t forget to cancel after a year, or you’ll get billed the typical $5 per month charge.
