Microsoft’s Latest Game Pass Perk Is an Apple Subscription

Microsoft, Apple

These days, every purchase seems to include an Apple TV+ trial. But we didn’t expect Microsoft to join the bandwagon—Xbox Game Pass Ultimate now includes three months of Apple TV+ and Apple Music. You can claim these perks through your Xbox console or Xbox app on Windows.

As you may know, Xbox Game Pass grants access to hundreds of games, including some day-one titles. But when you upgrade to the more expensive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you also unlock cloud gaming, free in-game loot, and various limited-time perks, such as an Apple Music or TV+ trial.

Now, let’s do some math. An Apple Music subscription is $11 a month (after a one-month trial), while Apple TV+ costs $7 a month (after a seven-day trial). New subscribers can expect to pay $44 after three months of using these services.

Compare that to Game Pass Ultimate—it costs $15 a month, but your first month is only $1. If you’re a new subscriber, Game Pass Ultimate is only $31 after three months. This sounds like a pretty killer deal to me.

Note that this promotion ends on March 31st, 2023. I suggest that you redeem it now ahead of Christmas, as there’s a decent chance that one of your gifts will include an Apple Music or Apple TV+ trial that you can save for later.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lets you stream a massive catalog of games to Xbox consoles, PC, and mobile for a surprisingly great price.
