Soon, Google Will Let You Set Location Reminders From Google Home

Google Assistant’s location reminders are so helpful. Instead of specifying a certain time for a reminder, you can say “Remind me to do laundry when I get home,” and Google will remind you once you reach your house. Soon, this feature will even work if you create the reminder from Google Home.

Currently, if you want to create a location reminder, you have to do it on your phone. That’s a bit of a pain if you have a Google Home right there waiting for your voice commands. Fortunately, Google is fixing that problem soon. In the “coming weeks,” Google is going to let you set reminders from your smart speaker.

For example, if you ask Google to remind you to pick up butter when you get to the store, you’ll see that reminder show up on your phone once you arrive. Since Google associates your account with your voice, you’ll only see location reminders that you set on your own phone.
