Amazon and Twitch Will Now Give Away Free PC Games Every Month

The best part of having an Amazon Prime Membership is occasionally getting surprise with new, free stuff just for being a member. For example, now Amazon–in its partnership with Twitch–will give away a collection of free PC games every month.

Amazon has already given out free stuff to gamers via Twitch Prime, which gives you ad-free viewing on Twitch and the occasional in-game goodies like skins or loot boxes. Sometimes Twitch Prime would give you free games, but it wasn’t the main feature of the program.

That’s changing with this new update to the Twitch Prime program. Now, every month on the 15th, a selection of free PC games will be available to anyone with Amazon Prime. For the first month (which goes live tomorrow, on the 15th), Twitch Prime is offering the following free games:

  • Superhot
  • Oxenfree
  • Mr. Shifty
  • Shadow Tactics
  • Tales from Candlekeep Tomb of Annihilation

Next month, you’ll get even more games:

  • Tales from the Borderlands
  • SteamWorld Dig 2
  • Kingsway
  • Tokyo 42
  • Dubwars

While big budget AAA games aren’t represented much here, there’s still a few solid indie options here, including the well-received Oxenfree and Telltale Games’ Borderlands story game. This is roughly in line from what we see from Xbox Live Gold or Playstation Plus, which also offer a collection of free games (though not always huge titles). If you’re already subscribed to Amazon Prime and play a lot of PC games, this should be a welcome benefit.
