
If you’ve always wanted to cook dinner with Darth Vader, the experience will only cost a hundred bucks if you buy one of these new Star Wars-themed Instant Pots, which are also available in designs resembling R2-D2, BB-8, Chewbacca, and a Stormtrooper.
All five versions of the new Star Wars Instant Pot are available exclusively from Williams Sonoma. The home furnishings retailer who has previously offered cookware designed after characters from the iconic space saga, such as this Le Creuset Stoneware Cocotte that looks like R2-D2. And for those who may not be acquainted, an Instant Pot is a hugely popular programmable pressure cooker that is said to be seven appliances in one, serving as a slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, and so on.
There are well over a dozen Instant Pot models that come in different sizes as well as with different features and accessories, and hey, now you have five more Instant Pots to pick from with the launch of these Star Wars ones. The series kicks off at $79.95 for a three-quart Instant Pot Duo that looks like BB-8 and spans on up to $119.95 for an eight-quart Instant Pot Duo that looks like Chewbacca. Most features are shared across all of those models, though there are a few differences worth mentioning—mainly that the smaller three-quart BB-8 Instant Pot only has 11 programs built-in while the larger six- and eight-quart models have 13 programs, adding dedicated settings for cooking poultry and multi-grain foods. Otherwise, all of them have the same multicooker capabilities that can be used to cook more than a thousand recipes available on the free Instant Pot app (Android, iOS). If you need more convincing, the packaging comes with themed recipes like “Darth Vader’s Beef Stew” and “Chewie’s Chili.”
Note that although you can purchase these special edition Instant Pot models today, they won’t ship until Thursday December 19, so it’s more of a pre-order and one that you may or may not receive in time for Christmas. The launch of these licensed Instant Pots is being timed with the arrival of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which is set to debut at theaters on December 20.
