Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Will Likely Slide Into Your Home on March 6th

A Samsung webpage, featuring registration details for upcoming Galaxy phones.

Samsung’s Unpacked event is coming up quickly, and soon we should know all the details about its upcoming phones. While we have a pretty good idea of what to expect, thanks to a series of leaks, the latest information comes straight from the horse’s mouth. Or Samsung’s website, as it were. According to a registration page, Samsung is promising to deliver preordered phones on March 6th.

If you’re wondering what to expect at Samsung’s Unpacked event, you don’t have to look very far to find credible information. We’re watching for a sequel to Samsung’s Galaxy S10—likely dubbed the Galaxy S20. Chances are on the outside it’ll look familiar, but pick up features like a 120Hz display, and better cameras. Much like the Galaxy S10, we wouldn’t be surprised by multiple variants—a regular, a Plus, and an Ultra.

We’re also on the lookout for a new foldable, rumored to be named the Galaxy Z Flip. But rather than a direct successor to the infamous Galaxy Fold, this one may resemble Motorola’s new foldable Razr. When closed, it looks like a flip phone; when opened, it resembles a modern touchscreen phone. But, right now, all of that is (very likely) rumor, and we’ll have to wait until Unpacked to know what’s real and what’s wishful thinking.

If you don’t need to wait to find out, and you know you’re going to order something from Samsung, then the company is ready for your excitement. Today the company published a reservation page in anticipation of its preorder period.

To be clear, reserving a spot in line doesn’t preorder a phone or guarantee that you’ll get one. You can’t even specify what phone you’d like. Instead, it puts you on a distribution list that will notify you when preorders open.

But in addition to a teaser video, one noticeable detail stands out: a delivery date. According to the registration page, Samsung is promising “delivery by March 6th while supplies last.” The page also suggests you’ll be able to trade-in phones to knock down the full price of the devices, (whatever those prices might be).

We’re planning to attend Samsung’s Unpacked event on February 11th, and we’ll have all the details when they’re official.
