Doctor Who’s Tardis Just Landed in Roblox for a Quick Visit

The 10th and 13th Doctor in Roblox avatar form.
BBC

The BBC announced that it’s bringing Doctor Who to Roblox. For a limited time, you’ll be able to pick up the 10th and 13th Doctor as avatars, along with a portable Tardis and a Pterrible Pting for free. But you better act fast, because, after March 26th, the Doctor will leave, presumably in another attempt to visit the Medusa Cascade.

If you’re unfamiliar with Roblox, it’s less a single game and more a series of user-created games. The company bills itself as a place where “anyone to imagine, create, and have fun with friends.”

You create avatars that resemble Minecraft, explore and create new worlds, games, and adventures while meeting other Roblox players. You could call it the “YouTube of Gaming.”

Adding Doctor Who is a natural fit, given that sense of exploration. The decades-old show is all exploration and recreation. The main character, known as the Doctor (but oft referred to as Doctor Who in the credits and in media), travels through time and space in her Tardis (Time and Relative Dimension in Space).

You can grab avatars of the 10th and 13th Doctor, along with a portable Tardis and a Pterrible Pting between now and March 26th in the Roblox avatar store.
