Amazon is trying to focus its resources on essential items, like household staples and medical supplies. This is a necessary measure, as many families are still scrambling to prepare for self-isolation or self-quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. But, uh. It also means that you might your Animal Crossing preorder a few days late.
As published by Nintendo Life, some Twitter users are complaining that their Animal Crossing: New Horizons orders are delayed until Tuesday, March 24th. It’s a major bummer, but hey, it’s better than leaving families unprepared during a pandemic.
If you’ve pre-ordered the new Animal Crossing game through Amazon, then we suggest checking your estimated delivery date now. It’s not too late to pivot to a digital download through the Nintendo eShop, which will allow you to start playing Animal Crossing on Friday at 12 AM, Eastern Standard Time. If you’re set on getting a hard copy of Animal Crossing, you could always switch your pre-order over to Best Buy or GameStop.
