Right now, washing your hands is more important than ever, thanks to the spread of COVID-19. But do you know how to wash your hands? You may have heard 20 seconds, but the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a more thorough procedure that takes roughly 40 seconds. Now Google Assistant is here to help you with a song that takes you through the steps.

To hear the song, open up Google Assitant and say, “help me wash my hands.” If you’re on a smartphone, you’ll see and hear the lyrics to the song. Google Home users will see a bubble image (seen above), while it sings the song.

You may think forty seconds is a lot, but WHO’s method for handwashing will help you get to all the crevices, and keep you from forgetting overlooked areas like your nails and between your fingers. To go along with that advice, today’s Google Doodle celebrates Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis, widely recognized as the person to discover the medical benefits of handwashing.

If nothing else, though, you can keep following the CDC guidance of washing your hands for 20 seconds. Happy Birthday twice should do the trick.
