The search for wireless headphones is over. Razer is selling a beautiful set of Pikachu wireless earbuds in a Pokéball-shaped charging case. I don’t know if they sound good or not, but who cares? These things are totally chic—the distilled essence of style and beauty.
Just don’t expect to buy the Razer Pokéball earbuds anytime soon. They’re a Chinese exclusive, and they cost a little over $120. After shipping, that’s about the same price as a pair of AirPods. And with its 3-hour earbud battery life and 13mm drivers, the Pokéball earbuds are not AirPod quality. (That said, the Pokéball earbuds do have an IPX4 sweat-resistance rating… Would you go to the gym in these?)
Despite their flaws, the Pokéball earbuds look super cool and sophisticated. If you’re willing to pay $120 for the most badass accessory on earth, then you should try to import a pair from TMALL, the marketplace that Razer links to on its Chinese webpage.
