Last month, Verizon pledged to provide an additional 15GB of data to customers with a wireless plan until April 30th. But the COVID-19 pandemic isn’t going anywhere just yet, so Verizon is extending its 15GB data deal until May 31st.
The 15GB data deal will automatically apply to Verizon customer and small business accounts with a wireless plan. Verizon will not email or text you to confirm the offer. Any text message or email that asks you to opt-in for an extra 15GB is a scam and should be ignored.
It’s worth noting that, unlike T-Mobile, Verizon is not waiving wireless data caps. If you use up the extra 15GB that Verizon provides, then your internet speeds will be reduced.
