Nintendo Announces a Ton of Pokémon Updates, Plus a Limited Edition Switch Lite

During the latest Pokémon Presents event, Pokémon fans were treated to a flurry of exciting game announcements. In addition to several game updates, there’s also an incredibly cool-looking limited edition themed Nintendo Switch Lite.

Let’s dive in and take a quick look at everything that was announced!

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

The event showed off a fascinating new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which showed gameplay in the Hisui region (what the Sinnoh region used to be). There, society is divided into three groups: the Security, Medical, and Survey Corps (the latter conducts Pokémon research. Naturally, it’s your job to collect information on what Pokémon are out there and how they evolve.

If the need for a battle arises, you’ll tell your Pokémon to use either “Agile Style” or “Strong Style” moves. The trailer also unveiled some regional variants, like Hisuian Braviary, Hisuian Growlithe, Wyrdeer, and Basculegion and several angry red-eyed Pokémon.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus drops on January 29, 2022, and you can pre-order it today.
