It’s JBL day! The popular audio company just announced nine new products, including the JBL Flip 6, two new PartyBoxes, two pairs of over-ear headphones, and four pairs of wireless earbuds. There are a ton a products to look at here, so let’s take things one a at a time.
The JBL Flip 6 (Now With Bluetooth 5.1!)
At a glance, the JBL Flip 6 doesn’t seem all that different from the JBL Flip 5. But it features a new design with “racetrack-shaped” woofers to help increase bass clarity, plus Bluetooth 5.1 support for more reliable wireless connectivity.
The JBL Flip 6 also sports an IP67 dust and water-resistance rating, a major upgrade over the IPX7 rating in the Flip 5 (IPX7 means no dust resistance). And thanks to the new PartyBoost mode, you can pair multiple Flip 6 speakers together for synchronized sound.
JBL’s new Flip 6 speaker costs $130 and ships this December. The product is not yet available for pre-order.
The PartyBox 110 and 710
For professional live sound, there’s no better option than a JBL partybox. The new PartyBox 110 and 710 include an IPX4 splash-resistance rating, new audio inputs, and upgraded lighting effects to help get the party pumping.
- JBL PartyBox 110 ($400): A 160-watt output speaker with a 12-hour battery, JBL PartyBox App controls, and a built-in light show that syncs to music. You can connect your phone to the PartyBox 110 via Bluetooth, 3.5mm input, or USB, and even connect guitars and microphones to the speaker’s two 1/4″ jacks.
- JBL PartyBox 710 ($800): The larger PartyBox 710 has an 800-watt RMS output, integrated wheels and handle, and “club” light show mode for animated lighting effects. It works over Bluetooth, 3.5mm input, or USB, and includes two 1/4″ inputs for instruments.
The JBL PartyBox 110 is on sale now for $400. Unfortunately, the PartyBox 710 doesn’t launch until this November.

Earbuds, Headphones, and Headsets
Holy cow! JBL’s new headphone lineup has a little something for everyone, including a pair of affordable, gym-ready Endurance Race buds and a pair of over-ear headphones for kids. Let’s start with the company’s new flagship buds, the JBL Reflect Flow Pro.
- JBL Reflect Flow Pro ($180): With ANC and a transparent Smart Ambient mode, JBL’s Reflect Flow Pro earbuds are perfect for study time or a trip to the gym. They sport a IP68 dust and water-resistance rating with a 10-hour battery life (20 with the charging case) and wireless charging support.
- JBL Tune 230NC ($100): The stem-styled 230NC earbuds sport ANC, a IPX4 sweat-resistance rating, and a 10-hour battery life (40 hours with the charging case).
- JBL Tune 130NC ($100): JBL’s new Tune 130NC buds are nearly identical to the 230NC earbuds, they just don’t have a stem. ANC, an IPX4 sweat-resistance rating, and 10-hour battery life (40 with charging case) make an appearance here.
- JBL Endurance Race ($80): JBL’s budget Endurance Race earbuds are perfect for the gym with a IP67 water-resistance rating and 10-hour battery life (30 with the case).
- JBL JR 460NC ($80): Designed for kids, the JBL JR 460NC wireless over-ear headphones support ANC and have a Safe Sound mode to keep audio below 80db. They pack a 20-hour battery life and work with Google Assistant.
- JBL Quantum 350 Gaming Headphones ($100): The new JBL Quantum 350 gaming headset is optimized for PC or PlayStation gamers using 2.4G wireless USB dongle, and pack a 20-hour battery. You can customize the headset’s EQ, sidetone, mic and more using the QuantumSound PC app.
The new JBL Tune 230NC, JBL Tune 130NC, JBL Endurance Race earbuds ship October 17th, while the flagship JBL Reflect Flow Pro comes out November 14th. JBL says that it will launch its kid’s over-ear headphones and gaming headset this September.
