Save $55 On a Kindle Paperwhite and Start Reading Again

The Kindle Paperwhite on a white background.
Amazon

Have you spent the last year pushing yourself to start reading again, only to have your brain turn to mush the moment you open a book? I’ve run into the same problem, but over the past few months, a Kindle has helped me break past that mental block.

Maybe it’s because the Kindle is small enough to slip in any bag, or because the model I’m using, the Kindle Paperwhite, is waterproof. Either way, Kindles make it easy to get back into reading, and you can buy one for just $60 during today’s Amazon Epic Daily Deals sale.

Here are all the Kindles (and bundles) on sale today:

The basic Kindle, which is just $60 during today’s sale, is more than enough for most people. It has a comfortable 6-inch display with an adjustable frontlight for outdoor or nighttime use, plus an anti-glare screen.

But you should definitely consider the discounted Kindle Paperwhite (2018 model), which costs $15 more than the regular Kindle during this sale. It’s waterproof, its backlight is much more effective than the basic Kindle’s frontlight, and it has a 300ppi pixel density for crisp text and images.

Whatever Kindle you choose, I suggest ordering it today. Amazon’s Kindle sale may not last long, and similar sales may take a few months to rear their head.

Kindle Kids (2019 release), a Kindle designed for kids, with parental controls - Blue Cover

The Kindle Kids tablet is identical to the adult Kindle, but it runs a custom kid-friendly software and comes with a carrying case. Also, it includes a 2-year no-questions-asked warranty and a yearlong Amazon Kids+ subscription for free books and audiobooks.
