Kelly Hodgkins is a freelance writer at How-To Geek and Review Geek. She covers computers, smartphones, audio accessories, and other tech-related products.

She started her career as a freelance writer at Boy Genius Report over a decade ago. Covering mobile technology, she eventually landed at TUAW, an AOL-owned site, and sister to Engadget that focused on Apple news, reviews, and related technology. While at TUAW, Kelly became the app review editor. In this position, she published daily app deals, covered notable app releases, and wrote weekly reviews.

When TUAW was purchased by AOL, Kelly moved beyond mobile and expanded her writing portfolio. She routinely writes about outdoor gear, smart home products, emerging green technology, and fitness equipment. She has written for various publications, including MacRumors, Digital Trends, GreenBelly, The Trek, and more.

Outside of writing, Kelly is an avid outdoors person. She is a Maine Master Naturalist and leads classes in outdoor survival, bushcraft skills, and wild edibles. She enjoys hiking and trail running in Maine and New Hampshire mountains.
