In recent years, Apple has managed to muddy any distinction between the iPad Air and iPad Pro. There are differences between these two products, for sure, but these differences are incredibly minor now that Apple’s launched the M1 iPad Air.

From a customer’s perspective, this is an awesome situation. The new iPad Air offers “Pro” performance and features for just $600. But there’s a bit of trickery to Apple’s pricing strategy, and in an odd twist, the more expensive iPad Pro may be a better value than its cheaper sibling.
